This is an important question. To so many kennels once a dog is retired it means more than retirement, it means replacing a "useless" dog with a "producer". Our dogs are first and foremost our companions, they won't be treated any differently when they "retire" than how we treat them now.

Yes, the name on the website is for reference purposes only. You are welcome to choose any name you would like for your puppy. In almost all cases the puppy will never hear the name that is on the website.
Should we adopt a male or a female?
In some ways, choosing between male and female dogs is a matter of personal preference. However, there are some differences. It is important to evaluate these characteristics and determine which sex would fit in best with your home situation when you choose a puppy. Many people have strong ideas about whether a male or female German Shepherd is better. These ideas are usually wrong, but a few differences do exist. There is no ‘hard’ data that supports one gender over the other with respect to intelligence and trainability. Click here for more information about the difference between males and females.
What is your Privacy Policy? Please be assured that we will keep all your information strictly confidential. we will not add your name to any mailing lists or give out your information without your permission. However if you would like to share puppy stories, pictures, or become a reference please let us know. We love keeping posted on our puppies progress.
Are your dogs registered? If so with what registry?
Yes, our dogs are registered with the AKC and all of our puppies will come with AKC registration papers. Papers are proof of your new puppies ancestry. This is an important question to ask, BE SPECIFIC. A lot of dog breeders will say "yes they are registered" but they will fail to tell you whom they are registered with, or that the puppies can be registered. Make sure you get a firm answer. It is important to be registered with the AKC as it is one of the most well known and well respected registries in the world. There are a lot of "impostor" registries out there that offer to register dogs even if the dogs lack proof of pure breeding. Be wary of dogs registered with one of these unknown organizations. (No matter how highfalutin the registry's name sounds.) Some breeders will use the excuse that the AKC costs too much money. The real reason people don't register with the AKC is because if you have more than 5 breeding adults you could be subject to inspection. They also make you follow ethical breeding practices and have your males DNA tested to PROVE they are purebred dogs!
Do you require spay/neuter contracts on your puppies?
No, although we strongly encourage you to have your puppy spayed/neutered, we do not contractually require it. We place all of our puppies as family pets, if you are interested in showing or breeding please contact us for more specific information. Please click here for more information about having your your puppy spayed or neutered.

I do not charge an additional fee to accept PayPal or a credit card.
What things can I look for to protect myself when adopting a puppy on-line?
Both PayPal and Next Day Pets offer an "ID Verified" option for members who use their services. They are not affiliated with any one breeder or business. Next Day Pets says; "If you are an honest person and not a scammer, or an individual attempting to sell sick puppies, you should have no problem becoming ID Verified."
